Monhegan Island, Maine

July 18 - 22, 2007

Five days on Monhegan Island, which sits ten miles off the coast of Maine. The island is a well known destination for artists and painters. I was very fortunate to have spent time with great friends and great artists as we hiked about the island, attempting to capture the countless vistas and historical scenery.

Opening July 14, 3:30-5:30 PM July 14- September 22, 2007

I am very excited to have been selected to display my work in this exhibit of maritime paintings. 55 artists from around the country were juried to participate. The piece entered (above) is titled "The Bounty" and is an 11" x 14" plein air painting of the ship that has had a starring role in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films. Here she is at rest in her home of Greenport, Long Island, NY. Click here for the Coos Art Museum
